Why at the very beginnings of Egypt's history do we have a place as important as this abandoned?
这句话怎么理解?（我的理解:为什么在埃及历史初期这个重要的地方被遗弃?）
另外里面的as...as...结构怎么理解?感觉在这里不像是 和...一样 的意思?
我主要是对着个句子中的as...as...结构不太理解，普通的 A is as important as B.意思是A和B一样重要，但这里是a place as important as this abandoned 怎么理解 总不能翻成 和这个被遗弃的地方一样重要的地方
