Music and I
Music is so important to my life.Without it my life willbe boring.The reason why I like music so much is that my mother is a music teacher and my father plays Chinese traditional musical instrument Erhu quite well though he is an expert in fruit.I am mostly affected by my parents.
I can still remember my childhood when my dad played some famous Erhu melodies,such as < 二泉映月>,< 良宵>,< 赛马>,ect.Those beautiful melodies were always surrounding my home.Itwassucha nice thing to hear them especially in the summer nights with moon and stars in the sky,lights shining in the whole city.Sometimes our family togehter with a few music fans came to a small mountain nearby .Therethe fresh smellof grass came to our noses.We lay down,food and fruit were placed on the ground.My dad and his friends would take out some traditional instruments and began to play joyfully there.I was not only a listener but also sang along with the music.How I wish I could go back to those unforgettable days!
Being a child,I showed my talent in music.I could sing a song while listening to it over the radio even though the tone was not so easy for a child like my age.As time went by,I became more interested in music.I like all kinds of music whether they are folk songs,pop music ,r&b,or jazz.Then one important thing came to my life.That is keyboard.My fingers jumped up and down on the keys and expressed various feelings whenever I felt happy or sad.It has become one thing I can't lose.My skill of playing electronic organ was greatly improved after I happened to get a chance to play in a night club.In those days,people were very fond of dances.They had social dance,circle dance,tango,waltz,disco etc.
In the bad the conductor was so strict with each member that he would make us practise a piece of music again and again till he thought it was OK.He had good hearing and he would call pause whenever he heard something wrong for the trumpet,trombone,flute or drums.To tell the truth,I should say thanks to him.Due to his seriousness,could I master the key points.I was the youngest in the band,so they all gave more concern on me.I did learn a lot from them.
Even now,I am still a member in one band -- not a band in a music hall but one organized by some friends who are interested in music.We play together when some special occasions come,such as someone's birhtday,one's wedding or some unusual days like that.
In one word,music is one part of my life.I can't tell what will happen if there is no music in the world.Who knows?
