1.My Summer Vacation
The summer vacation had come round again.I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while.Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation,I made a plan as to how to spend it.First,I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them.Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise,such as walking,running and rowing,to keep me physically strong.It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time.I did,because I lived up to what I had planned.
2.To be a Volunteer
to serve as a volunteer of teaching english in the countryside has always been one of my unfulfilled dreams when i was just a little child.it's not only about traveling to a new place and getting to know their lifesyles but also bringing about new ideas and new perspectives and touching their lives.
now i am so excited and thrilled to have this chance to be recruited as a member of the whole volunteer team and we are marching towards the countryside in a few days.
another thing i have learned during the preparition section is that nothing is so easy as we assumed before.having learned english for almost 10 years is one thing but to teach what we have already mastered is another.we must make very specific teaching plans and search for many relevant materials.also,designing how to progress in the classroom and how they are gonna absorb all the things they are taught and whether they are suitable for their age and their capacity of knowledge are taking a great deal of time to ponder all this.
anyway,i'm gonna break my back and help the kids as much as possible and i bet this is one of the most meaningful things in my life
