Good morning!it is really a great honor to have this opportunity for a interview.After preliminary examination results came out,I've been worried for my English points,during that period,my mood like Heidegger’s “not-being-at-home”.I I would like to thank xxx University and professors for giving me this opportunity,and of course my efforts.These factors above,which let me have the opportunity to see the present professors and to enter my desire university.
My name is xxx,24 years old,I come from xxx,Jiangxi Province.My hometown is a very beautiful place,surrounded by the hills on one side and waters on the other.
In my fresh year,I read a book that about western philosophy,called “What Is Philosopy” published by Peking University Press.Now it seems that the book made a bridge which let me close to the western philosophy.I was attracted by paradoxes of Zeno and Saint Thomas Aquinas’s proofs of the existence of God in that book.These doctrines broke my ideal about philosophy in my brain which ocuupied by Marxism from my high school.Later,I have read some philosophy books and find that lots of philosophical questions,such as where are we from?Why do the world exsist?children always asked them,and we know that these questions never be able to get the right answer.Some philosophers said,although we never get the correct answer,but we feel happy in thinking that questions.Yes,I think that is the philo-sophia.
After all,I did not major in philosophy during my undergraduate study.Thus I did not systematically study western philosophy,and the books I read were just randomly chosen.The only thing I knew was a clear picture of the history of western philosophy.I plan to study it systematically during my postgraduate course.Someone ever said,one who studies philosophy must learn to bear with others' ignorance.But I think,to someone who loves philosophy,such ignorance can be easily ignored.
