1.Purpose:
This document outlines the basic steps to be followed for McDonald’s toy factories’ production
capacity verification.
2.Application:
Capacity Verification is applied only to SVP/RTQ approved factories.The verification will be conducted
annually,covering key manufacturing process including molding,decoration and assembly/pack-out.
3.Specification and Comments
3.1 Documentation/Information preparation
The factory prepares the below documentation/record/information for all in-process designs:
- Process control plan
- Tool plan (molds,decorating masks,etc.)
- BOM with components samples.
- Production schedule (include order quantity and scheduled ship date)
- Daily product reports of each critical process
- Working hour record of each critical process (machine,workers)
3.2 Design and process selection
Designs and components will be selected for the production rate verification.
- 1-2 designs out of all current running design will be selected.
- 3-5 molding components of selected designs will be audited.Recognizable parts or SVP critical
parts need to be selected prior to the audit.
- 1-2 decorating component of the selected designs will be audited.Recognizable parts need to be
selected to the audit.
- All assembly lines for selected design will be audited.
