作为先锋派的小说家,苏童是一个少见的擅于描写女性形象的作家,他的女性系列作品,多从女性生存的角度描写,反映女性命运的悲剧.苏童笔下的女性人物,如《妻妾成群》里的敏茹、卓云、梅珊和颂莲,为了得到丈夫的青睐相互残害,最后疯的疯、死的死；又如《红粉》中的秋仪和小萼,终日流连于红楼妓院,无法摆脱灯红酒绿的生活,最后唯有依附男性；再如《妇女生活》中的娴、芝、箫,她们漠视亲情唯恐母女共事一夫,窥探他人的性生活以缓解自我的寂寞之心.这些人物的生活背景既跨越了新旧社会,也覆盖城乡农村.本文通过对苏童笔下的女性悲剧形象的分析,从社会文化背景和女性依附意识等角度来探讨女性悲剧的成因.

As avant-garde novelist, Su Tong is good at describing images of female characters which is rare for male writers. Series of his works that dedicated to female are mostly done from the perspective of survival as a women, in order to reflect the tragic fate of women. Su Tong described the female characters, such as Min Ru, Zhuo Yun, Mei Shan and Song Lian in the "妻妾成群 (Polygyny)", mutilate each other in order to get their husband's favor, they either went mad or died at the end of book; Another example is the Qiu Yi and Xiao E in the "红粉 (Pink Powder)", they hang around all day in the Red House brothel, cannot give up the feasting life style, and only able to dependent on men in the end; Again as Xian, Chi, Xiao in the "妇女生活 (women's lives)", they ignore their families lest the mother and daughter serves the same men, snoop others sex life to alleviate the loneliness of the heart of themselves. These characters' background spans both the traditional and modern society, it’s covering both urban city and rural countryside. This paper explores the causes of female tragedy through the tragic image of women described by Su Tong from the social, cultural background and consciousness of female dependence perspectives.
