A:"The ones I usually call are mostly business partners.I always have to set up business meetings with them,and most of times it takes way more than just one phone call.You know,people like to change their schedules and minds.Sometimes I also receive calls from the front desk.They always ask me to solve problems that they are not able to solve."
B:"That sounds intense.But do you like it?Using your phone instead of messages"
A:"I actually like it a lot,things get communicated easier and more straightforward,I think it's better than messages because if there is any problems,talking to each other can eliminate lots of misunderstandings."
B:"I see,maybe I should start to using my phone to communicate too.Is there any particular manner in phone calls?You know I am not good with people."
A:"Well,it does take some technique in talking to people via phone.People often said that I have a phone voice,they said that my tone sound different when talking on the phone."
B:"So what are good telephone manners?"
A:"Um,it depends I think.If you are making business phone calls,try to be as formal as possible.First you need to greet the person you are talking to,and then introduce yourself,including you name,title,and company if that's necessary,and don't waste lots of time chatting randomly,just go directly to the point.But of course if that person likes to talk,do talk with him or her and don't show any impatience.Just be as nice as possible."
B:"I see,I've learned a lot today about phone calls,thank you so much.Maybe I can change my occupation to secretary when I get tired of being a technician."
