a very little boy was spending hie saturday morning playing in his sandbox.he had with him a plastic pail and a shiny ,red plastic shovel,when creating roads and tunnels in the sand ,he discovered a large rock in the middle of the sandbox.     the boy dug around the rock ,trying to move it off the dirt,he wanted to carry it out of the sandbox with his hands ;however,it was too heavy .later,with much strength,he pushed the rock across the sandbox by using hs hands .when the boy got the rock to the edge of the sandbox,he found that he couldn`t roll it up and over the little wall.with greater strength,the little boy pushed,but every time he thought he had made some progress,the rock fell back into the sandbox.the little boy pushed and pushed,but his only reward was to have the rock roll back.     finally he began to cry loudly .all this time the boy`s father watched from his living room window as all this was happening.as soon as the tears fell,a large body appeared across the sandbox .it was the boy`s father.he said ,"son,why didn`t you use all the strength that you had "     as he was beaten again and again,the boy shouted back,'i did!i did!i used all the strength that i had!"    "no,you didn`t .you didn`t ask me for help."the father reached down,picked up the rock and dropped it off the sandbox.    do you have "rocks"in your life that need to be moved away?are you discovering that you don`t have what it takes to lift them?there is someone who is willing to give us the strength we need .maybe,it`s sometimes a good idea to ask others for help when we meet difficulties we can`t overcome.
