从句转化为简单句主要有下面几种情况
（一）状语从句简化为非谓语动词作句子状语
（1）如果从句主语 和主句主语相同（不一致）,则采用非谓语动词作句子状语简化
时间状语从句简化为非谓语动词中现在分词作句子状语
复合句
时间状语从句：When we see from thehilltop,we can find the city more beautiful.
简单句：
Seeing from thehilltop,we can find the city more beautiful.
从山顶上看,我们发现这个城市更美了.
（2）如果从句主语 和主句主语不相同（不一致）,则采用独立主格结构作句子状语简化
例如下面例句
（1）表示时间
复合句：When the meeting was over ,all of us went home .
开完会后我们都回家了
因为从句主语与主句主语不一致,则采用独立主格结构简化为简单句
因为：the meeting being over 相当于=从属连词when + the meeting was over
简单句：The meeting being over,all of us went home
（2）表示时间
复合句：When her work was done ,she sat down for a cup of tea
她干完了活,坐下来喝茶.
因为her work done相当于when her work was done
简单句：Herwork done,she sat down for a cup of tea.
（3）表示条件
复合句：If the condition is favorable ,he may succeed.
若条件有利,他或许能成功
简单句：Thecondition being favorable,he may succeed.
（4）表示原因
复合句：Since there was notaxis,we had to walk.没有出租车,我们只好步行.
简单句：There being ,we had to walk.没有出租车,我们只好步行.
（5）表示原因
复合句：as thenight was dark and frosty ,Hewrapped her up with great care.
夜又黑又冷,所以他把她裹得严严实实的.
简单句 ：The night being dark and frosty,he wrapped her up with great care.
（6） 表示条件
复合句：If time permits,we'dbetter have a holiday at weekends.
简单句：Time permitting,we'dbetter have a holiday at weekends.
如果时间允许,我们最好周末去度假
（二）宾语从句简化为特殊疑问词+非谓语动词作句子宾语
复合句：He doesn't know what he will do next
简单句：He doesn't know what to do next
复合句：Can you tell me how I can get to the zoo?
简单句：Can you tell me how to get to the Zoo?
复合句：Please tell me when we’ll have a meeting.
简单句：Please tell me when to have a meeting .
（三）垂悬分词作状语简化复合句
分词结构的逻辑主语并不总是和主句的主语一致,也可以是主句的其他成分.
复合句：After the policeman searched for the thief in the city,it had taken
简单句：Searching for the thief in the city,it had taken the policemen a long time.
在城市里搜查小偷,花费了警察很长一段时间.
（Searching短语的逻辑主语是主句中的policemen）
