9.2 COMPARISON WITH EXPECTED RESULTS

10.1 CALCULATIONS REVIEW
The lighting review shows higher lighting levels than the Dragon International design, as
indicated in the premises.
The medium lighting level on the working surface (Em) is: 434 Lx in the Telmotor review and
298 Lx in Dragon International design.
The Telmotor review uses the same lighting fixtures of the Dragon International design, with
the same accessories, same quantities and the same photometric data with the exception of the
fixtures inside the cave of the ceiling for what it was impossible to find the photometric data
for Dialux, the review was done with OSRAM fixtures with same photometric data as
indicated in the data sheet included in the Dragon International design.
In the Dragon International design, in some ERCO fixtures, the luminous flux was manually
modified, indeed the 22463010 model has 50W lamps with 36° reflector. The original
photometric data given by ERCO shows a flux value of 1200 Lm instead of the one inserted
in Dragon International design that is 900 Lm.
As indicated in the premises, this can be for less efficient lamps or for a dimming percentage
manually inserted in the calculation.
Concerning the design evaluation for a five-stars standard, it is remarkable that a medium
lighting level of 298 Lx, as appear in the Dragon International design, is low for a
multifunction room, the correct value is between 300 and 500 Lx with dimmers to optimize
every part of the room. The levels are correct with the standard data given by manufacturers.
In the Telmotor review, there are less lamps in the caves of the ceiling because of their
dimensions (184 vs 204 in the maofengjing20081224tra[1].pdf document attached).
