Helicopters have left the prison island of Nusa Kambangan transporting the bodies of the Bali bombers to their family villages.
The three condemned bombers,Imam Samudra,38,Amrozi,47,and Mukhlas,48,were led from their prison cells around midnight (local time) to a field where they were strapped to wooden poles,blindfolded and each shot in the heart by firing squads.

The three Islamists executed at midnight Saturday (local time) remained unrepentant until the end over the 2002 bombings that killed 202 mainly foreign tourists on the Indonesian holiday island of Bali.
