Pansy wanted to write some articles on family life for the school newspaper.She spoke to two teenagers.This is what they said.
Tina ( not her real name ) --- aged 14
My parent give me a generous amount of pocket money every month.If I spend it before th end of the month,they complain a little,but they always give me more.
I sedom do housework.Sometimes my mother asks me to clean my room if she's bvery busy,but she always gives me money or a present for helping her.After all,housework is the job of the parents,isn't it?
I get lots of presents.I've got an MP3 player,my own TV,a dig tal camera,a computer and lots of games.I also have lots of nice clothes.They buy me all the latest fashions.They never say ' no '.They want me to have a happly chidhood.
It's great to have my own TV.I can watch it for hours,and no one disturbs me.I watch it for about fifteen hours each week.
David ( not his real name ) --- also aged 14
I get a little pocket money every month.My parents say I have to learn to look after my money.So they never give me any more if I spend it too quickly.I think this is fair.
I have to do the housework fro about an hour every day.I wash dishes and clothes,clean the floors and sometimes cook meals.My parents never pay me for doing housework.It's the responsibility of the whole family,isn't it?
