Life is a process of pursuing and fulfilling our dreams again and again. Today, I’m glad to have this opportunity to tell you my dream.
I come from Qiandao Lake, a small mountain town. My parents and teachers expect me to go out and find my foothold in the broader outside world. In the middle school, I held the dream of studying hard to accept education in the best universities in the future. For the dream, when I felt desperate, I would lighten my heart by encouraging myself that the dream is on the horizen; when I struggled in the sea of academic questions, I told myself that sweetness could only come after bearing bitterness. Going through numerous days and nights, when I arrived at Zhejiang university for the first time, I could clearly feel the excitement and happiness .
However, I also realize that the coming four years of study in the university is merely a small phase in my life, because I still have a long way to go in the future. But here, I have new dreams to realize. As a student of applied biology, I tell myself that I will graduate with credit in four years to become a garden designer and decorate this city using my wisdom. Perhaps my dream is not as glaring as others’, but it will drive me to learn knowledge continuously, inspire my innovation capability, bravely conquering all difficulties ahead.
Nietzsche said that a smart person won’t lose anything if he is able to control himself. I believe life is held in my own hands. With clear life direction, I will move on hopfully and experience each day earnestly in my life. I’m sure that one day, my dream will come true and have a valuable and meaningful life.
