MY flied is plant pathology.you kown that report writing is different from report speaking.you may use wave languages in report speaking,but it cannot be used in report writing .
if you wanna express your emotion strongly in your report writing ,you should make the best use of grammer,especially advanced grammers.choose the sentences which famous people said.use examples to support your idea and use data about your field to express your thought.
