"the kids seemed to love it because the robot looks nice,cute and interesting..having such a robot in the classroom makes the students more active in taking part,especially shy ones who are afraid of speaking out to human teachers,"said kim,an education officer
besides reading books,the robot can sing songs and play games with the students.kim said some of the robots may be sent to rural areas of south korea which are short of foreign english teachers
she said the robots are still being tested,.But the government might consider using them full time if scientists make them easier to operate and more affordable
