Nowadays,we are able to enjoy the benefits that free e-books bring,which contributes to abreast of knowledge.In my view,e-books does more good than harm and holds the key to our modern lives,but we should give a little money when reading them.
The drawbacks of free e-books are that authors of these books are less likely to get paid and their rights may not be preserved.Lack of income can undermine their living standards and some of them are unwilling to continue writing.That may be a pity and loss to our readers.For example,if writers did not publish books related to mental problems,we might have difficulty coping with setbacks.
By contrast,it is obvious that free e-books provide students with equal access to knowledge.Students,especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds,can benefit from this type of books,because they can not afford expensive books.By reading free e-books,they can broaden their knowledge and improve their transferable skills,which are both important to their future career.
In my opinion,it would be better for this newly-born industry if people paid a little money as a reward to authors.People who write and publish their writings are hardworking and this process is arduous.Thus they deserve our respect and appreciation.
In conclusion,we need to pay a slight money for e-books if we want to read these books in the comming future.
