Mr.Edward had lunch with us yesterday,but was treated by Peter today.这句话语法正确吗?

treat后面要写明做什么，虽然前文是吃午餐，但不代表后文也一样，因为前文是和我们一起，而不是我们请他。
today前要加in，不加的话就是今天才被Peter宴请的，was就要改为is了。
