听力原文:
Dialogue 1
M: Can I help you?
W: I’m looking for a brown jacket for my daughter.
Dialogue 2
M: Are you ready to go shopping?
W: Just a few minutes. I need to make a list of things that we need.
Dialogue 3
M: Hi, Susan. Have you received the PSP you bought online?
W: Yes. It should have arrived on Monday, but it took two days longer.
Dialogue 4
M: Good afternoon. What can I do for you, madam?
W: I’d like a sweater for myself.
M: Which sweater would you like, the woolen one or the cotton one?
W: I like the cotton one.
M: Which color do you like, blue or red?
W: I prefer blue, but this blue is too dark.
M: What size do you want?
W: Eh, size L is a little large, so I will take a smaller one. How much is it?
M: The original price is 198 yuan. And now it’s 50% off.
W: Ok. I’ll take it.
Dialogue 5
W: So many books here. Which one do you think Kate would like?
M: No idea. How about Tasty Fish? It's fifteen pounds and it's got so many color pictures in it.
W: So has the book Something Fishy. It's also got many instructions for cooking.
M: It seems to be quite traditional. How about World Wide Fish?
W: Oh, it looks more like a reference book than a cookbook. A lot of reading, and not many pictures.
M: It's interesting, though, the way it's organized fish by fish.
W: That's true. How much is it?
M: Twelve pounds.
W: And one I picked up first?
M: Something Fishy? Oh, here it is. That's seventeen pounds.
W: Hmm… Well, this one has a nice combination of pictures and instructions. Anyway, we can't spend all day here. I'm going to take this.
Monologue
Most shops in Britain open at 9 o’clock am and close at 5 or 5:30 in the afternoon. Small shops usually close an hour after lunchtime or one or two days a week usually Thursday or Friday. Some large food shops stay open until about 8 o’clock in the evening. Nearly all shops are open in the morning and sell candies and cigarettes as well. But there are many things that cannot be sold on Sundays.
