So last June,the Frisbess made an offer that was accepted on a large two-bedroom apartment on the Upper East Side in a gracious pre-war building in the 80's near Central Park.But they heard nothing from the co-op about their application.The forth of July passed and _____
A.there is nothing
B.it's nothing
C.still nothing
D.nothing still
答案虽然选的C,不过我觉得AB带进去也没有语法和语义上的错误啊,而且CD之间不过是把still的位置变换了一下吧,为什么d就是错的?我记得很多词都是放在nothing的后面啊,比如nothing wrong

答：AB时态不对（应为过去之事）,且逻辑上也不通,不是“不存在”（　there was nothing）,而是没听到,依然没听到.
C是：
they still heard nothing from the co-op about their application
之省略.
D为：
they heard nothing　still from the co-op about their application 之省略.
而nothing still和nothing strange类似,still是形容词,是“静止的”意思.
