不是说强调句that从句里为否定形式时,需否定转移么?
为何不是 It was not because her mother was ill that she went to work
It was because her mother was ill that she didn`t go to work

为何不是 It was not because her mother was ill that she went to work
这里为强调原因,即强调部分为 because her mother was ill 这个原因状语从句.在that从句中强调哪一部分那一部分加not,没有否定转移之说.
It was not because her mother was ill that she went to work 这句意思就变成 不是因为她母亲生病了她才去工作的.
至于 that引导宾语从句时有否定转移,且主句谓语为 think,believe,等表示认为的动词.
英语这些语法知识挺琐碎的,多做多练培养语感很重要哦~

再答： 额。。。这个我也不懂哦。。。呵呵水平果然差得多。。。 是不是这样的？ 因为expect 引导的从句有否定转移，此句就是 因为 can't 中not提前了。书中说注意否定转移的意思是 不要忘记强调句中的 not。就是说 改成强调句式时 不要忘记在It is 后加not。不知道我有没有表达清楚。。。
再问： 感谢 再比如 I did not have an opportunity of seeing him again for several years It was not for several years that I had an opportunity of seeing him again 想说 相对于语言的发展和表达方式可能的变化，语法永远是后知后觉的。是这样的么？呵呵
