坚持在英文中有两种不同的表达情景：
1 坚持某种习惯或信仰等,用 stick to.例如 Stick to your principles; stick to the diet 坚持你做人的原则,坚持你的饮食习惯；
2 坚持正在进行的动作,用 insist on doing 或 persist in doing 例如
He will persist in riding that dreadful bicycle.他执意要骑那辆危险的自行车.
insist on telling him how great you were.
keep up doing sth 是指继续做某事.
