1：改成同义句：这个句子是现在进行时,可以转换成带[定语从句]的句子,或者是使用句型：There be +名词+动词ing,转换如下：

There were some people who are flying kites.(这样有点多此一举的感觉,不过是可以的）
2：平常说；一条消息：a piece of news,这里用来修饰是[什么样的消息]我个人觉得应该在news后面加上good,也就是这个：a piece of good news
