1) 这里其实是个宾语从句 she found (that) she was falling down...
省略了that, 后一个she 做从句中的主语, 另外宾语从句中要求谓语齐全, 必须是fell 或者 was falling
而联系语境, was falling 正在深坑中掉落要更好
2) find确实可以做感官动词
但要是这样, 第二个she必须换成宾格
即She found her (或者herself) falling down...
find + sb(宾格) + doing
