但事实上,因塞北地高气寒,秋末即雪,积雪期长,至春经久不融,此时登上坐落于青枫绿屿之南的山峰之上的“南山积雪”亭,环视可见楼阁轩斋,皓洁凝素,白雪缀松,玉碧相映,远眺可见,积雪皎然,玉岭环列.

As a matter of fact,however,it starts snowing from end of autumn in Saibei (the areas north of the Great Wall) due to its altitude and cold air,and the snow covers the area for a long period till it thaws late in spring.If you climb up to the “Nanshan Snow-cover” pavilion on top of the peak located in the south of the “Green Island of Maples”,you can see,as you look around,white and clear high pavilions and lofty houses,as well as snow hanging on pine trees,just like the jade and the apyrite (碧玺) adding radiance and beauty to each other; and you can see,if you look far into the distance,clean and clear snows and circularly lined-up jade-green mountains.
