Dear Friends and Loved Ones,
I have been mulling over this idea for quite some time and have finally decided to enact it.If it is incredibly stupid,please inform me immediately so that I don't let more people know I'm dumb by emailing them this proposition too.
First,gmail is a requisite for this project.Those google bastards really are taking over the world.The project will utilize the functionality and global accessibilty of googledocs.Those who have a grudge against google can opt not to participate.
The first phase of the project involves finding answers to these three questions:1) What are the biggest problems China is facing today?2) What are the biggest problems America is facing today?3) What are the main obstacles and potential flash points to be avoided in the conduct of US-Sino relations?
I hope that everyone emails me back with at least five things for the first two and at least three for the last one.
My focus for the individual country questions is mainly domestic.An American problem could be "the excessive useage and social acceptance of the b- word in contrast to those of the n-word and how it has undermined the progress of feminism." A Chinese problem could be "the obsession with videogames and how it is contributing to a 'mindless,humanless social life' for millions of teenagers." Or it could be something general like "urban poverty," "bad schools," and "pollution."
Remember,you have been chosen for your intellect and cunning.Those of you who don't give a shit about China (wake up and realize that they're the number three economy in the world!),and therefore don't feel comfortable responding to questions two and three,please answer with at least eight American problems.
More project details will be forthcoming.I look forward to your almost immediate responses.
