估计楼上的好心人即使是知道正确答案却苦于说不出很具体的道理啊.这就涉及到语言效果的分析,这也是多数语言学习者忽略的问题-----词法问题（不是语法问题）,我的分析如下：
如果是：ln need of money,Bob had to take the job that was offered to him.
译文是：因为需要钱,所以Bob不得不接受（别人）提供的那个工作.
whatever job that was offered to him 意思是：被提供给他的无论什么工作.
whichever job that was offered to him 意思是：被提供给他的无论哪一个工作.
似乎这两种说法都行,但是,要仔细选择其中之一,就必须从语言效果上进行分析：因为需要钱,所以Bob不得不接受（A)被提供给他的无论什么工作 / (B) 被提供给他的无论哪一个工作.
无论什么工作和无论哪一个工作的范围不同,前者意思是只要有工作,无论什么性质无论什么总类工作都行,但是后者,请注意“whichever" 本身意思是“无论哪一个” ,它暗示着在同一类（或同一种）工作中的任何一种工作,看：what job 和 which job 的区别就更明显了.what job 表示什么工作,which job 表示“哪一个工作”,后者好像知道具体工作种类但是不清楚具体是哪一个工作,当Bob 急需要钱时,很明显,只要有人提供他工作干就行,他没有权利再挑选有·具体·味道的“whichever”工作了.所以,只有选择A whatever 才是正确的.
