change in my honetown
My dear hometown is located near the Qingjiang River.The traditional village has changed into a modern place for the past few years.It totally differs from the town when I was young.
In the past,the roads were so narrow that one vehicle cannot give another the right of way.What's more,the road was bumpy and muddy.Especially in rainy days,people have to wear their water-proof boot to keep their foot clean.However,the condition of the roads have changed a lot.It has been broadened and most of them are rebuilt with concrete mix.Cars can easily choose their way to pass through.People are satisfied with this big change.
There was a chemical plant in my hometown several years ago.Though it has promoted the local economy,it hurted the environment seriously.The heavy smog run out from the high chimney.The sky was unclear those years as it was going to rain always.While the environmental problem has been settled.The local government has taken effective measures to control the development of the factory.People do not have to wear a respirator when they go out.The sky is blue and clear.The plants grow healthily without the pollutants.
The living standards of the local citizens have improved hugely.People can only afford their daily supplies in the past years.They don't have to worry about their living,but the entertainment was infrequent.There was no Internet,no mobile phones,no private cars.Whereas,these products have become true.90% person have now got a mobile phone.The Internet has gone into everyone's home.And some people can even be able to afford a private car to replace their bicycles and motorcycles.
It remains to be seen how huge changes may happen in the future,I hope my hometown will become better after years.
