More and more students are choosing to study in another country for higher education.Do the benefits outweigh the drawbacks?
It is increasingly common these days for young people in many countries are choosing to study aboard for higher education.But at same time,controversy has arisen about whether students studying in another country create benefits or not.Speaking for myself,I believe students study aboard may bring numerous advantages which are definitely outweigh the disadvantages.
It is true that students are choosing to study aboard when they finished their secondary school may have some negatives.For one thing,they have to face to a totally new environment along.More specifically,the cultural shock,which means a new environment would make them feel bewilder and frighten in a period,may creates a vast of detrimental influences upon their aboard life before them adapt themselves to the new environment.Further more,generally speaking,if they chose studying aboard,that would cost them more money than study in their own country.Obviously,take Chinese students for example; studying aboard for four years will cost almost 1 million RMB,which is a great sum of money for their parents.By contrast,they would approximate spend at most 10 thousands RMB if they finished their high school in China.
On the other hand,studying aboard certainly brings a host of affirmatives.It is evident that studying aboard makes students tend to be more independent,which is a very important factor in academic study and research,as well as giving them an advantage in terms of coping with the challenges of student life.Also,there are numerous good universities aboard,which have better academic atmosphere.Therefore,studying in another country can offers students more good opportunities to choose.In other words,students are not only choosing to study aboard,they choosing a better educational atmosphere as well.Last but not least,students who study aboard would have a broader view of life and better personal resources to draw on.Definitely,studying aboard can expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons,which makes them more competitive in their life,work and study.
In brief,I am firmly believed that students tend to be choosing to study in another country for higher education brings more the benefits than the drawbacks.Students should be encouraged to get used of new environment and be more independence.They would get numerous profits from their aboard independent life and study,which can give them a more motivated and effective perspective from the aboard studying.
