我有必要为自己辩解几句.楼上说的是有问题的,separate不是“把sth分开”的意思!分开是短暂性动词,怎么可能for millions of years呢?
separate意思应该就是“隔开”的意思,是一种延续几百万年的,“被”海洋阻隔的状态,所以肯定是被动,而且是by oceans,而不是nature force
不用被动的话,可以这么写：
