为什么不是被动?

还有something to eat等，something不是被吃的吗？怎么不用被动形式something to be eaten呢？
我问的是为什么不用“不定式的被动语态”，各位好像都没回答到点上。

当用不定式做定语修饰前面的名词或是代词时,这个不定式和前面的名词或是代词构成动宾关系,即 prepare a meeting ,eat something,这个时候的不定式不用被动形式.这样的例子还有很多.如：I have a lot of homework to do.
He has no room to live in.
The box is too heavy to lift.
