1.就近原则,无论总共数字有多少,就看动词前面的名词是单数还是复数就行了.
2.all that=what,因此这句话简单的说就是：what can be done has been done.意思是该做的都作了.
3.家具这个名词很特殊,是不可数名词.而修饰不可数名词则用much.
4.many a .就是单数.
5.主语其实是number,而of后面的是修饰number的,number是不可数名词,当然要用单数了.
6.tom是句子的主语.这句话的主结构是tom is going to be promoted.而only.是表示范围.
7.是固定用法,在描述减乘除方法时,必须用单数,除了makes还可以用is.但是不能用was,因为是自然状态.
8.注意dancer前面没有定冠词,因此singer和dancer描述的是一个人,如果说the singer and the dancer.则是两个人.
