prefer to do rather than do 是宁可做……而不做,或者是喜欢做……而不做……的意思.语法结构上来看,than两边的结构都是一致的,都是不定式,但是习惯上把后面的to省略.加动名词形式doing sth的肯定是不规范的.至少在英语学习考试中,就是第一种用法,不存在第二种.
我也帮您查了,非要用第二种的话是有这么一种意思：用以表示在某种具体场合的选择,可以翻译成：在这种特定场合下,我宁可…….当然,还是这句话,从应试角度来看,这个语法是不规范的!希望楼主理解.
另外还有种用法是prefer sth to sth,或者prefer doing to doing都是可以的,是比……更喜欢……的意思.
